Over the years, we have established and managed successful oil companies, earning a solid reputation through extensive experience in Iraq and various Middle Eastern countries. Our team has been actively engaged in the Iraq Oil Industry since 1998 and have been instrumental in the establishment and success of multiple oil companies.
We founded our first Oil Company in Iraq in 1998 and effectively managed the business, successfully fulfilling contracts with the South Oil Company (SOC) overseeing the drilling of 30 wells in the West Qurna field and 18 wells in the Tuba field, amounting to a combined value of $150 million. Notably, the company was the first international oil company to resume operations in Iraq since 1979. Moreover, the company achieved the remarkable feat of recommencing operations in Iraq in 2003.
In 2008, we achieved another significant milestone by acquiring an Oil Exploration & Production Sharing Agreement for Oil Exploration in the northeast region of Esh El-Mellaha in Egypt. The agreement covered an area of 138 square kilometers and involved a commitment of $12 million for drilling seven wells. Additionally, seismic surveys were conducted, covering an area of 100 square kilometers in two dimensions and 100 square kilometers in three dimensions.
Continuing our contributions to the industry, we established another Oil Service Company in Iraq in 2012. Under our leadership, the company successfully drilled 50 wells for projects worth over $350 million. At its peak in 2019, the company managed seven rigs before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
